If you answer anything other than 5 and want to ask questions then you aren't doing a good job.

It certainly is, but most of all it is determined by what we think of ourselves. It is totalitarian dictatorships and religions and control freaks that exert their beliefs on people to control how they think.

Bringing this point back to equality. We can only be equal if in our minds we believe we are. That I am afraid is impossible.

I believe that we are. Is that impossible?

No one is saying that effective crime prevention has no effect, but the point is that all other things being equal, more inequality correlates with more crime.



Of course there is "more to it", in the sense inequality isn't the only factor at play. In somewhere like the US these studies have been done on a county by county basis and multiple variables are considered and accounted for. There is quite enough data to identify the correlation.
