Really? Are the Tories and UKIP suppressed? Are the Mail, Express and Telegraph suppressed?“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -
I usually don't vote as they're all tulipe. I have made an exception to vote to keep the BNP out when they've stood a chance. I would possibly make a similar exception to keep UKIP out (not that I am equating the BNP and UKIP).Originally posted by Jeff MagintyCan't believe the negativity being expressed about UKIP on here from some of you lot!
Do you honestly mean to tell me that you still intend to vote for any of LibLabCon after the way they've run this country in recent years? Are you stupid?
Please don't tell me that you're one of those "I refuse to vote because they're all tulipe!" types. By not voting at all you just allow the same old LibLabCon to get in and do as they please, which most likely won't be what suits ordinary folk like us who actually need to work for a living.Comment

The evidence came, in part, from a study by UCL:Originally posted by CoolCat View PostRe "studies showing that immigrants make a net contribution" yes but the political elite and journalistic classes are dominated by pro high levels of immigration types, the views of those with the opposite view have been suppressed using various mechanisms repeatedly. BBC News - Recent immigrants to UK 'make net contribution'
If you think the study methodology was biased let us know how and why.
That is the way science usually works.
Otherwise I suspect that you won't let the the truth get in the way of your bias.Hard Brexit now!

Can you tell us more about the 'various mechanisms' please?Originally posted by CoolCat View Post...the views of those with the opposite view have been suppressed using various mechanisms repeatedly. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

It doesn't have to be obviously biased. It just has to be limited in scope without taking into consideration all factors that mass immigration will have an impact on. The bias then will be on the part of the people with agendas that can pick it up, wave it about shouting "See, see, I told you so!"Originally posted by sasguru View PostThe evidence came, in part, from a study by UCL:

I've read the article and they discuss the scope.Originally posted by alluvial View PostIt doesn't have to be obviously biased. At least when you have a proper academic study you can have some facts to discuss in a debate which seems to me to be very emotional rather than fact based.
E.g. the OP claims that Indian workers get "special tax dispensations". Is this true? What and how do they work?Hard Brexit now!
