No effort put into sockies these days.
I was a long time lurker before I plucked up courage to join the mêlée

I must say I found it rather tedious.
    It was poetry!

Half of the Lies I tell you are not true...

          Rumours of my
death have been somewhat exaggerated - now Boys and Girls where were we ?

          Ah - Barcelona !!! New teeth - that's weird ...

          The morning comes to consciousness

Of faint stale smells of beer
          From the sawdust-trampled street

With all its muddy feet that press
          To early coffee-stands.

          With the other masquerades
          That time resumes,
One thinks of all the hands

          That are raising dingy shades
          In a thousand furnished rooms.

Yes I have been to Hell and back - it was worse than any prison - I was diagnosed with a deadly disease Melanoma Cancer - but was - some say - miraculously cured - others say that I regenerated - you can read all about it - in a forthcoming thread " The Life and Times of AlfredJPruffock."

Well done for surviving. If you feel up to it, it may be a good idea to let us have details as it may help others with diagnosis and symptoms.
