Hello everyone. Yes, the good times appear to be back. At least for now. After a few tragic years as a permie I have finally got a decent contract again. All the signs are here, big 5 consultancies are hiring complete cretins from unstable third world countries to replace the good people who are leaving to go contracting (I know, I've interviewed them. Its hilarious).
It won't last though, another two years and it will all go tits up again. Still, make hay while the sun shines as they say.

The best market is always just before the crash...so to speak, as happened last time. Its a bit like an elastic band.

What kind of rates were folks getting just before the bubble burst last time?

Less than that, but had lower living costs.
The rent on my flat was less than my daily rate.
