To be honest each one of the doctors on stage at the 50th tried to steal the limelight. McCoy really is a tedious twat, Colin Baker came across Ok as did Davidson who helped the senile Tom Baker around but without a doubt Tom Baker was the only one with any gravitas to him & every anecdote brilliantly delivered. Matt Smith was pretty meh as well. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions! -
I watched part of that, but I've no interest in luvvie luvfests. I like Dr Who, but I've no interest in the paraphernalia surrounding it. Except the bits that were in Private Eye every now and then about the execs.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostTo be honest each one of the doctors on stage at the 50th tried to steal the limelight. Never watched it, did watch a program about the science of Dr Who with that smiling scientist who used to be in a band. Was fairly good at explaining stuff.Comment

I thought the main reason was to create an excuse for more regenerations, just as Dr Who is becoming popular in America again and thus keep the merchandising behemoth on courseOriginally posted by kal View Postwas ok.. at least the doctor is now no longer a mass murderer and we may see the timelords again, got to appreciate that its main purpose was a tribute to 50 yrs of the doctor.Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment

No Pond.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment
