Footballers earn too much money therefore there is no incentive for them to play well. What is the point of exerting oneself when all you need is to retire after a one year contract?

Tennis players, formula one drivers and a few track and field athletes earn a tulipload of money too; it doesn't seem to stop them trying.

        Kind regards,

Rugby, Athletics, Cycling, Rowing, Equestrians, Cricket, Boxing et al.
Rugby and Cricket aren't world sports. For the most part they are only played by ex-Empire countries so no huge deal in winning anything there really.

As for rowing, why not add snooker, dart and crown green bowling to the list?

Why not? Those are games where England's competitors win things.

Better than those footballists with their 48 years of failure.

He had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.
