Reagan was conservative and he was great for America and won landslide elections. There are many closet liberals in the Republican party who don't want another Reagan and so a true conservative like Palin must be attacked and insulted by them.

She is actually quite liberal on some issues. She vetoed a reduction in bar opening hours for example, suggested arresting pot smokers should be a low priority and is a strong supporter of equal rights for women.

And when it comes to corporations she's as libertarian as can be. As are most "conservatives".
