I see what you did there....

How long before it appears on one of the adult channels?

    I can see it now

    'Britains Biggest Skank'

    'Slutty birds have got talent'

    'DVDA for begineers'

that will eventually mean the decline of libraries

in much the same way that electricity has led to the decline of candles

not saying it is good or bad but it is just an inevitable change.

We are only fighting against because we grew up with it
How utterly depressing. I'd hate for there not to be a load of books about the house

nobody is saying books will stop to exist simply the government will stop subsidising them in favour of subsidising digital media.

well sort of - it did start of with a rant about public sector cuts affecting libraries but then the thread turned to make out that libraries are really becoming redundant - although my view is that regardless of what digital media is available schools and nurseries should still have libraries.

Is the point you are trying to make that Cameron was preaching austerity while attending a lavish banquet? Shall we look to see how many "man of the people" Labour leaders also attended the same event when they were in charge?

I'm absolutely certain that lots of public sector workers are lazy good for nothing tulips. I can be sure of this because I have extensive experience in the private sector, which is also full of lazy good for nothing tulips, and I don't expect those in the public sector to be any better.

The only thing that puzzles me is why people think the private sector will magically make it better when there is little or no evidence to support that conclusion.
