Sounds like you all had a rather sedate night.

I missed the last Tube and tried to head west in search of a night bus. I got massively lost, and walked around for ages. At one point I crossed Brick Lane, and after that I was on Commercial Road. As I'd previously been past the Barbican, I must have gone in a massive circle. There wasn't a cab to be had for love nor money, until eventually I saw one coming out of a filling station and flagged it down. I think I was somewhere around Wapping by this time; it cost me £25 to get to the bus stop on Charing Cross Road.

Then some morons insisted on smoking on the bus, so the driver kept stopping and threatening to call the police, and finally abandoned the journey altogether and threw everybody off. It was only about half-a-mile to the hotel by this time, so I walked the rest of the way. Got back around 4am.

So, all in all, a great success

              Cheers!

Bugger, sounds like a nightmare. I was on my 3rd nocturnal toilet trip at 4am.

You remember the circle line gates being closed?

You remember me offering to help you find the tube as I had local knowledge?

You remember me suggesting getting the circle to St Pancras, and changing to the Northern line there?

I remember you telling me you'd be fine as you had intricate knowledge of the tube network from a book you read about toilets on the underground.

I walked a bit further down to an open entrance to the underground, got the circle to St Pancras and got the train home. Simples.

[Psssst] Next time, listen to suity.
