If there's somewhere to park nearby I should be able to get there about 7pm or soon after, but I'll only be able to have a pint and after that it's non-stop orange juice.

I can't leave the car parked overnight, as I've hired a van for the weekend and need to make an early and sober start, for a couple of trips up and down the M3.
The City of London is not a place to drive to on a Friday night...parking however is easy once you are there

    Where to park
I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).

I would stay away from the a13/a12 this time of year.

From cambridge come down m11 to Stratford, then cut through Crackney and Shoreditch.

Found another apparently good car park site, en.parkopedia.co.uk

Looks like the one at 50 Lower Thames Street is only a couple of hundred yards (or a quick taxi ride) from the pub, although annoyingly the map on that page has no scale.

People will be drifting in from about 6. I'll probably be <= 6:30 - will drop my spare pants at the hotel first.
