I was thinking about Wayne Rooney's kids a while ago and how we should just take his money off him so that his descendants don't clog up privileged educational positions that could be better used for people more 'genetically intelligent'. It may take a few generations but eventually his gene pool will get back its position in the grand scheme of things but during that readjustment many more deserving people will have lost out on a chance to move up the ladder.

( In my defence I was wired to the moon with caffeine during a particularly brutal 5 hour fell run when I came up with that little gem )

Well at least they're all alive. That's a rip roaring success story compared to my old school's reunion. Did the chap in prison manage to secure a nest egg for when his freedom is returned to him?

The last reunion I went to was 6 years ago; two suicides, both drug related, one chap in prison in Bolivia for some altercation involving weapons transports, most of them divorced, among whom a couple of guys who discovered their love for each other having been married for several years, and the rest in pretty run of the mill jobs except for one chap who inherited about half of the agricultural land in Northamptonshire after pater had financed him to struggle and scrape through INSEAD; he now owns about a sixteenth of the agricultural land in Northamptonshire and still can't finance repairing the roof or the furniture. Nice but dim, that kind of chap. A few more generations with his genius and they'll be lucky if they still own a small cabbage patch. I'm doing relatively well compared to a lot of them. Oh, and there's one chap running an artsy-fartsy pub in London, but at least he's doing it profitably.

I am sat opposite a permie guy in his 40's who went to a v expensive college; cant tell his ar$e from his elbow his inability to make a decision nearly leaves him in tears and he is desperate to be a contractor but has no skill set.

I ama decade younger, came from a northern council estate and yesterday I helped him finish his piece of work - and he still didnt get it.

Surrounded by folks like this - but what can you do? Plonkers hiring plonkers.

I don't know if it's about 'rich idiots'; quite a few upper class types have very little income and can't heat the palatial slums they've inherited. They do, however, have the right mannerisms and accent to present themselves (i.e. blag it) quite well.
