Well it just got even more unboomed.

After lunch I got a call from HR. I was asked to go to a room to see them. They read out a long letter about cost reductions and told that I had to leave site immediately and they would pay up my notice of 2 weeks. Not allowed back to my desk etc.

      So now I'm available immediately

In the last 12 months working for Bar Cap I've had a 10% rate cut, told to take 10 days unpaid leave and then my contract terminated and escorted off site. This from a bank that is trying to portray itself as having integrity/respect etc. What a load of old bollocks!!

The stupid thing is that I'd only got 5 weeks left!!
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

      I preferred version 1!

120 pound a day. Not bad money for a lot of people.
I know people that work very hard for less.

Get on jobserve right away! Something will turn up. I've been looking for 3 weeks solid and have had some calls and CVs going over desks so if a cretin like me can get calls you have nothing to worry about
You are on the move AGAIN?

                  You aren't a contractor, you're a TEMP.

                    Couldn't resist.

Seriously though, I hope the OP finds something else soon.
