    After lunch I got a call from HR. I was asked to go to a room to see them. They read out a long letter about cost reductions and told that I had to leave site immediately and they would pay up my notice of 2 weeks. Not allowed back to my desk etc.

    So now I'm available immediately

    I'm finishing up on 31st December, going to be a quiet Jan, still a month at home in the middle of winter won't be so bad

    I finish up here on Dec 5th, will have been just over 2 years by that point (don't worry, I've stopped claiming travel expenses when I accepted my last ext)

    Pretty sure they won't extend this time, though every time they've extended me in last 14 months (3 times) each time was a last minute thing.
