Labour see the public sector as a political arm of their own rather than as a facility that should be delivering a decent service.
Dodgy, I am so glad to be back to arguing with you ......oh hang on, I agree with on a couple of points there, too. However, I would still contend that the issue has been kicked about by all parties. If the Tories really care about "cracking down" why are they allowing so much ICT abuse still? I agree Labour were utter tulipes on the issue but I'm not seeing much evidence that The Tories are any better - except they (maybe) haven't told quite so many lies about their intent (yet).

I received a text the other day "go home or face arrest".

As it was well after closing time already, I thought they might be serious and jumped in a taxi right away

Tories want big business (especially India & China) to invest in UK rather than elsewhere, if that means some IT contractors need to be shafted then fine. ICT will probably get worse we will go from Bob to Zhòngní shortly.

I do hope they make them pay tax from day one and fix the minimum salary requirements so at least for their cheap labour we get some more PAYE.

On ICTs the Tories are in hoc to Indian influence. I have fallen out with the wife of my local MP (we have kids at the same school) by suggesting I would vote UKIP unless they put a stop to the abuse of the system. She bleated about putting her husband out of a job so I told her I was down to my last £billion on account of competition from India and I was hardly likely to give a fig if he did not get re elected

Maybe we could outsource his job to India. I'm sure they'd do it better.

                Agreed

Or ID cards - Tory idea, opposed by Labour, then a Labour policy opposed by Tories.

                  What's the problem with this?

If some fooker wants to leave, let them.

That means the leaving and entering statistics are just completely made up.

So for example they don't know that Scooterscot is no longer in the country and when (and if) he comes back permanently this won't be recorded in the immigration stats.

It means that other central and local government departments cannot estimate how much money they need for healthcare, eduction etc.
