They're like a Red Rag to a bull... the hypocrisy of them complaining about smears is a bit much
Cameron, Osborne et al were members of the Bullingdon club. Their membership is well documented. It's not a smear to say that they were members of the Bullingdon club, and that the club has a certain reputation.

Ralph Miliband was a Marxist. That is well documented. He fought for Britain during the war. That is well documented. It's not a smear to say that he was a Marxist, but it is one to say that he "hated Britain", and to imply that his children must do the same.

Quite, just let him go back to dancing on Thatchers grave in peace, millionaire tax dodging marxists shouldn't be picked on

But by implication a marxist would have hated Britain for what it stood for, otherwise they wouldn't have been a marxist!

Why should that be a smear ?

I am okay with anything if that means New Labour get roasted in the next elections. Some sleaze on Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper would be immensely helpful. These buffoons should be ground to dust in the elections and not allowed anywhere near the government for decades.

100% Foul. This is the press at it's worse. I have no time for Ed and his policies, by all means attack him and his policies but leave his Dad out of it

I'd rather see politicians get defeated on the basis of facts than lies.

If the current government cannot find something genuine with which to discredit Ed Balls, then they are in trouble.

I disagree Old Hack. Anything will do to stop these morons from coming to power.

And thereby lies the problem with politics - if you need to smear to win, against the likes of Miliband and Balls, then you really aren't that good.

If you can't convince the country (or the key marginals) that your policies are better than the other party without having to lie about it, then we're all in trouble - in the same way that John Kerry (awarded three purple hearts, a bronze star and a silver star for military bravery) gets successfully branded as a coward and you end up with George W. Bush.

Ralph Miliband was Marxist who put his wealth in a trust for his kids so he wouldn't have to pay any tax. Your typical Socialist hypocrite.
...my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

Just as ironic for marxists to smear back with comments about national socialists, they're not exactly dissimilar
