That was an attempt to try and stem the goals rather than an attempt to try and get level. Plus Young was dreadful. -
Young shouldn't be in the United squad let alone starting a game, even worse starting against City!Originally posted by FiveTimes View PostThat was an attempt to try and stem the goals rather than an attempt to try and get level. Plus Young was dreadful.
Every time I see his name on the team sheet I just cringe. What on earth is DM thinking?!Comment

It's a transition period, and I'd be happy with 4th, to be honest. We lost to a team that has spent in excess of £100m on players in summer. We also lost 6-1 to the same team not so long ago and the world didn't collapse. If we lost 4-0 at home to Sunderland, I'd be starting to sweat, but we didn't. We don't have a tulip squad, and we don't have tulip players, and to say otherwise is madness; you are talking about a team that are PL champions. I looked at the front 4 yesterday and thought he was being ambitious and wasn't playing for the draw; maybe that was his mistake.
But, Jesus, this is a very competitive league, and we've lost to LFC away, and MCFC away and fans are complaining already. Can anyone remember last season, the season before?Comment

Yes United can improve but the signs are good and 4th place is not great.Originally posted by Old Hack View PostIt's a transition period, and I'd be happy with 4th, to be honest. 4th place is excellent in a transition year. That's all I am hoping for. If we don't get CL football, then we put put ourselves in a troublesome position. We're not going to win this year, and I never thought we would. But anything above 5th and I am happy. Happier if LFC finish below 6th too.Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View PostYes United can improve but the signs are good and 4th place is not great.Comment

Ah, well, I have to agree to a degree here. I am slightly nervous, but prepared to see the year out and go from there. 5 points off top isn't a great deal, we've had a tough start, and we'll soon start winning. I think he's a fair old manager, and we'll see just how good over the coming months.Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View PostSorry I meant to say the signs are not good!Comment

While United looked better with Cleverly playing, I can't understand why Kagawa didn't get a look in. Its been said that his best position is playing behind the main forward and here we had the situation where RVP couldn't play. So play him in a 5 man midfield and have Rooney play on his own up front.Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View PostUnited took off Young and brought on Cleverly yesterday - that's enough to show how poor their squad is. I can't see them loaning out somebody like Eriksen.
Young is utter tulip! Felanni is a joke for 27.5m Valencia seems to refuse to track back. Ferdinand is too slow. Wellbeck doesn't have any sort of goal threat in him. What is it? 19 goals in almost 100 games. That's worse than Forlan! Yet Hernandez can't get a game either.
That said I thought Kompany shoudl have got the man of the match. He was everywhere!Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

United have some quality players but they just seem reluctant to use them. That's why you get the likes of Pogba heading off to JuveOriginally posted by Old Hack View PostIt's a transition period, and I'd be happy with 4th, to be honest.
