As a villa fan we stuck with our man last season and it will pay dividends
I'd agree if it was a different manager to such a mediocre one such as David Moyes. I can't understand why united brought him in and I can't understand his team selections other than the CL one on Wednesday. They should have brought a more established manager in than DM.

why spend a lot of money on an expensive manager who will spit his dummy out in 18 months time because of United's stingy view on transfer money and wages.

By bringing in Moyes they have some one who will be less expensive but is proven in getting the best out of decent players.

That is what Utd is all about - getting the most out of what you have.

Moyes will be fine - give him 5 years more experience at that level and the trophies will flood in - he just needs to qualify for Europe each year.

Fair point. Only problem is that United are looking like the weakest squad out of the likely top 6. I can't understand why Spurs are able to attract players such as Christian Eriksen for 12 Mil and United keep bringing in more junk. Spurs and Liverpool both look as strong or stronger than United's current line up.

Cannot disagree with that - I am wondering whether a number of players disliked Fergie for his 'haridryer' management style and feel that this is an integral part of the club so will not come? Also maybe just poor scouts?

Eriksen is a quality player but the bigger clubs saw his as a luxury player as he has a reputation of not tracking back and being a bit lazy. That sort of player wouldnt fit in MU or Moyes ethos.

Really doubt that - he is 21 for Christ's sake! He has plenty of time to be moulded and you'd be willing to take a punt at somebody of that quality!

also why is it when you see Utd buy some supposedly young ish superstar - you then see him punted out on loan?

surely you have to give the kids experience of the game at the top level for them to fully grow?

FM14 comes out in a few weeks. That's usually good at forecasting results.

They need experience in the game, but aren't good enough at the moment to get into the first team regularly. Playing Carling Cup and second XI isn't competitive enough for them to develop.

Unless they are being loaned to a Belgian club to get an EU WP.

United took off Young and brought on Cleverly yesterday - that's enough to show how poor their squad is. I can't see them loaning out somebody like Eriksen.
