You are the 1 in 50 who pay out for the cooking versions. We salute you. I don't wish I had an AMG, for if I wanted one, after my wife and I contracting for 15 years, I could piss one out of small change, but I don't go in for depreciation, for I am a bright chap. I paid £25ish for mine, the wife paid 20ish for hers. Mine was £80k new (I bought two years old), the wifes was £54k new.
You do realise, all that started this, was if you wanted a performance estate car, the best one was the RS6, which it is. If I really wanted to go and lose 50k overnight, I'd buy one of those.
And anyway, you were ******* denying buying one earlier, now you're cock-a-hoop about it. I think you tell more lies than MF.

Bobspud, or may I call you BS as it seems more apt. You're a very strange man, one whom I think the whole deal is not being wrong, that's what fires you, but you're wrong all over the place here. You talk about the SL500 being as quick as the old AMG 55, or SL55AMG (it isn't, and it has less power, but you're stupid, so I forgive you that), but forget that the new AMG has almost 160 more bhp, and 200 ft lb torque more. Progress.
You've bought the wrong car, and that is really funny. The cooking version states it does 41 mpg. It doesn't, it wouldn't get near that as an average, it may get close if you drove it like clergy, but it will not. When it comes to sell it, the equivalent diesel will have lost 20% less. You'd have spent 20% more in fuel and you'd have the worst real world performance into the bargain.
Well done mate. Go you
