If you like A/V, then it doesn't matter, you get the best, and you get the biggest that would compliment the A/V quality for the room you use it in. The best now is a HD projector and screen with a good AV amp and sound system. OLED is actually a part of A/V that could develop into more things. I have seen some applications for OLED and it's spectacular.Originally posted by d000hg View PostOh Sas, you and your chav fascination. Is it your version of kids calling each other 'gay'? A curved TV isn't chavvy, it's got some sophistication. Chavvy is buying a 60" crappy HD-ready flatscreen rather than a decent 40" 1080p for the same money. LED is the opposite of chavvy.
Anyway 55" is a bit small though if you're properly wealthy, you'd want an 80" one. Or that nice 110" I saw the other day.Comment

Projectors will never be as reliable as a permanent display, but are a good option if space is at a premium.Originally posted by Old Hack View PostIf you like A/V, then it doesn't matter, you get the best, and you get the biggest that would compliment the A/V quality for the room you use it in. Eh? Why is the screen curved - am I missing something here.

Supposedly you get a better picture/experience, presumably the radius of curvature means each pixel is (nearly) the same distance from your eye. Whether it's really true or just a gimmick, I have only suspicion rather than fact.Originally posted by Wanderer View PostEh? Why is the screen curved - am I missing something here.

That would explain why you rarely see projectors in cinemas.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostProjectors will never be as reliable as a permanent display, but are a good option if space is at a premium. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. If I were to have a guess the distance from the eye to the screen is now the same no matter where on the screen your gaze should fall. Keeping the same focal length in your eyes allows more viewing less headache. Although you'd be sitting pretty close to the screen!Originally posted by Wanderer View PostEh?
