    WHS+++

    Stick it on Sky, Virgin etc as a subscriber only channel.

    You want to watch it, pay. You don't, no worries.

    Ridiculous system not fit for the 21st century.

      Is there an epetition anywhere to banish the licence fee?

        Licence free for 4 years and enjoying it.
        I did that too, I was without a licence for just over 4 years. Then I went and signed up for BT Infinity and BT nicely told the TVLA about my free YouView box. Couldn't be arsed to go through the hassle this time so just paid the licence fee.

              Probably.

              Why don't they just abolish it and fund the BBC out of general taxation? I mean, if 95% of the population need a TV license then what's all this bureaucracy about?

                  Have a look Search results - e-petitions

                  None of them look that popular. Probably as government igorne epetitions. In fact they virtually ignore the electorate. 2 parties with almost identical policies.
