You would only squander it on wild women. I will save you from that fate.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostIf it's too much for you then I'll take it.Comment

No, because the CFO of MTT Enterprises is Lady Tester, but I'm sure she would raise my pocket money by at least 2 euros a week.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostYou would only squander it on wild women. No, it's not. I'm not sure why people find the weekly amount so much more difficult to stomach than saying £15.6 million a year. I saw a trailer for The Wolf of Wall Street recently where Leo DiCaprio, playing Jordan Belfort, says that in one year he earned $49 million (or something like that) and being pissed off because it was just a few million short of a million a week.
People who make a lot of money for a company should expect their pay to reflect that. If it's such a piece of piss to do what they do, then go ahead and earn that money yourself.Comment

Mr Bale will do his work in full view of the public; that's 80-odd thousand people in the stadium and maybe hundreds of millions on the telly worldwide. Every little error will be analysed by armchair experts, every moment will be there to scrutinize. He will bring in an enormous revenue for his employer and perhaps help them to further successes. He risks getting injured at every moment and being unable to work any more, and he'll be burnt out and over the hill by the time he's 35. I don't care whether he 'deserves' his income because I'm not jealous of him; I can't stand jealousy. Well done to him for getting a good deal. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? If only I could get my hands on 20% of it. That is £60,000 a day for doing nothingOriginally posted by Mich the Tester View PostMr Bale will do his work in full view of the public; that's 80-odd thousand people in the stadium and maybe hundreds of millions on the telly worldwide. I am jealous, but not in a bad way. I don't dislike him because of the money he earns, I admire him for it. I wish I was as good as him so I could earn it too, but I'm not. Fair play to him, he worked hard to become the player he is now.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostMr Bale will do his work in full view of the public; that's 80-odd thousand people in the stadium and maybe hundreds of millions on the telly worldwide.
