Snicko showed the sound some time after the ball had past the bat, but there was nothing else moving or making the noise, so on the same grounds, it "had to be" the ball hitting the bat.
There was a clear noise when Pieterson hit the ball in the first innings, but he was given out LBW.
And there have been instances in the past of slip fielders clicking their fingers to try and make it seem like there was a noise as ball passes bat.
