My weekend with the kids so driving down to Somerset tonight, got a mini family reunion too boot as the Belfast lot are coming over too

About 20 years ago I had a girlfriend from Leeds whose family were all Oirish; right bunch of pissheads they were too. I think her dad could have drunk the whole of Yorkshire under the table.

Tomorrow p.m. off to the footie. Reading vs Swansea (pre-season friendly)

Swansea are my home team! Not that I really follow football but when I do I support Swansea!

Tonight: chiropractor to help fix my shoulder

Tomorrow: training (max strength day + core workout), packing for Sunday and other than that a free day!

Sunday: Medieval re-enactment show!

Will be giving historical talks etc which everyone will ignore as they take cute pictures of my children in 15c clothes playing with 15c toys.
Then explanations of why the most recent historical film they have seen is not actually historially accurate.

Followed by children having a look at the armour and weapons etc.

Intermixed with explanations of how they did have steel, they did have children, tents existed, arrows cannot just slice through plate armour, katanas cannot chop through plate, swords are cool but a man with just a single handed sword in a 15c battle would be a dead man long before he managed to hurt anyone and I don't care what happened in the Russell Crowe film you watched etc.

Rounded off by someone asking a bizarre question like "what was the metalic composition of swords in the 15c?".
