Congrat's BP and Dallas. Very hard work.

BP, don't do the brutal mate, get your knees looked at. The reason I cannot run anymore, and only cycle, is due to not listening to a quack when a bit younger, and now I need both knees replacing. Seriously, at our age, the knees got in a spectacular fashion after a while. I cannot even kneel now.

But you cycle - that will protect the knees. Cycling protects my right knee - I had it operated on twice and was told it needed to be broken in half(13 week recovery time).

Really pleased Dallas made it home - surprised she was in pain as she looked great at the end.

At the moment I am thinking of doing the brutal double swim and cycle and leaving the run. Thing is I have only seen a physio who says I need MRI to be sure of what is happening. On one hand I would not like to get an MRI then mess it up by doing the brutal. On the other it might be easily fixable.

But I am going to have to think a while - I woke up at 5:30am and need a pee - took 5 minutes to get 10 feet to the toilet! 3 more hours sleep then 10 minutes to get downstairs. I can't get out of the house - not even for bread/milk let alone work. Hopefully once the other muscles calm down all will be okay.

        Well done both!

BP, stop whining about your knee yer big puff, just a bunch of weak excuses for not sorting it out; MTFU and see and orthopaedic specialist.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

If your knee is actually bust you need to get it looked at. Leaving it could mean it is beyond repair, getting it seen soon could mean you're able to compete again.

I do cycle, love it, and it's the only thing I can really do, as the knees are so fooked. But I'd seriously think, at your age (my age too ish), that you're looking at doing long term damage, and that means very bad operations, that I am struggling to avoid.
