these have been grown indoors, apart from hardening off, from march.
I made the mistake of planting six pots at the same time, so they all fruited together. next time, I will plant one a week.
They are grown on the windowsill, on the sunny side of the house, so they are mostly in shade, with the odd hour of direct sun.
It's important to hand pollinate, because indoor plants may not get visited by natuaral pollinators. To hand pollinate, nip one mature flower off a plant, and push it against every mature flower on the other plants. This is how plants shag.
Then I flick the stem once, this sends a shower of pollen from the plant, which drifts around the house, unseen.
I then dry them, as per the photo. I put one in a big pan of chille, or a pan of scouse.
