Considering cailin posted about getting a mortgage via a specialist I thought it was common knowledge. Clearly Mr Arbuckle's brain is as slow as his running.merely at clientco for the entertainment -

I don't but as I'm mortgage hunting i read threads about mortgages. In fact the only reason I'm back contracting at the moment is to make getting one slightly easier as the days of Bank Business managers approving mortgages has (sadly) long gone.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostAlternatively I'm not stuck on here day and night like a limpet reading every intricate post like my life depended on it.merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

Going perm to cynically be able to get an easier, bigger cheaper mortgage. Now why didn't I think of that?Originally posted by eek View PostI don't but as I'm mortgage hunting i read threads about mortgages. I didn't go permie and at the moment I can get a bigger cheaper mortgage using a specialist in contractor mortgages than if I went permie and used a normal broker.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostGoing perm to cynically be able to get an easier, bigger cheaper mortgage. Not a clue why but I'll make the most of it and pull spare cash out for either repairs or another btl deposit.

The last time I did it was in 2007. I cynically went perm and extended my offset & took out a £425k mortgage. I didn't actually need a £425k mortgage but thought it would be useful.Originally posted by eek View PostI didn't go permie and at the moment I can get a bigger cheaper mortgage using a specialist in contractor mortgages than if I went permie and used a normal broker.

At .48% over base on an offset how right I was proved.
