Emails

I took a day off sick last week and being the end of the quarter I had around 200 emails in my inbox the next day. Friday it took me 4 hours to deal with those and more that came in the during the night before.

On Friday I went away for the weekend and dealt with emails as they came in. Between 3.30-4.30pm when I drove I received 46 and so then handed my phone to the best man and said don't give me this until we get home.

I woke up at 7.30 today. I have 453 unread emails!!! FFS!

I need to get off some disti lists! Anyone else have this issue?

Very rarely happens on that scale, but when it does, i find the best technique is to just ignore. The sender will be back in-touch if it's important enough.

You could always set-up some rules in your Inbox. One project I had some mails going into folder "Read Later" other "Deleted Items"

You could always set-up some rules in your Inbox. One project I had some mails going into folder "Read Later" other "Deleted Items"

I had a rule that basically ignores everything I was only CC'd in, that seemed to work pretty well
