I had a rule that basically ignores everything I was only CC'd in, that seemed to work pretty well

Still working through them.

The delete key and the unlucky rule are key to large mailboxes.

And remember if it's really important people will chase you. Plus everyone will accept you missed their email among the haystack of 500 others
