What beers (lagers, bitters, ales, stouts) do you reckon are good as your taste has matured?

I quite like Pilsner Urquell as a standard BBQ lager. Otherwise its Belgian all the way.

The Waitrose German pils (memminger brewery) is my standard tipple. Other than that Munich Helles (Augustiner especially) & Weissbiers.

I've tried the Waitrose one - seemed a bit bland compared with some other German's i've tried?

indeed - also the local shops sells Leffe in the 750ml bottles - one of them a night is plenty!
