The Waitrose German pils (memminger brewery) is my standard tipple.

I tried this one a few months ago and have bought it since - already had one whilst I'm reading this post in fact
A good flavoursome malty beer which still has a great taste when ice cold.
I discovered it works quite well paired with a dram of your favourite single malt, on the side or as a chaser as the Americans put it.

Munich Helles (Augustiner especially)

May I ask where you obtain said Augustiner from in the UK?
I've only ever had this in Munich - a personal favourite after a Biergarten crawl - but I'd love to find a supply if one exists.

Try this Home | Sierra Nevada.

It's an American brewery and is one of the finest drinks I've come across. A few good pubs in London now have it on tap. You can pick it up in Waitrose I'm told.

Have a go. It's superb

WHS^ Avoid the usual American piss and try this stuff, Blue moon is also v good.

My current fav's:

Jaipur (available in Waitrose)
Ubu (Sainsbury's)
Caesar Augustus (Scottish IPA from Sainsbury's)
Butcombe Standard bitter, Gold, Brunel IPA, Rare Breed (I'm West country till I die!)
Bath Ales Gem and Golden Hare ("")
On a really hot day Thatchers Gold glider.

Zero Degrees microbrewery/pub/restaurant beers are also fantastic IMO as is their lime & tequila chicken tagliatelle.

Ubu is a local brewery, so we have plenty in the pubs. You've got to love a brewery named after a dog named after an absurdist play.
