I am in a similar boat at the mo, with my mother having cancer with a very short prognosis.

Bit of a mixed day yesterday... 6 month extension agreed in the morning, received news that my father passed away in the afternoon.

It was entirely expected, I think I mentioned before he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer last autumn.

Ho hum.

He did well to hang on this long. Better off out of it. At least now he is at peace. Sincere condolences for your loss.
