I stopped because it was becoming a problem. If I had one drink, I tended to want another. If I have none, then I've no particular urge to have one. Some people have the discipline to stop after 5 drinks, some 4, etc. - for me, I've the discipline to stop at zero. I don't miss it at all, and for some reason I have a lot more money than I used to...
