Admin has kindly stepped in and offered his services as publisher, so hopefully we'll be up and running with the book soon.

    Details to follow.........................
Thanks for the update. If admin would like I can send him the results of my proof reading, this is what I sent to CH. Should be of use.

      Testers required

I need 3 or 4 people who can donate some time to test the version before we go live.

I've carried out some additional proof reading and reformatting of the recipes and got some independent reviews.

We should have a version ready soon, unfortunately I don't know who Cliphead had testing before, so if people can PM me if they want to volunteer.

      Cheers,

        Further update

So, we've finally finished editing and proof reading and now we're good to go on the publishing.

Once we're done with that, then there will be a brief round of testing on various systems and hopefully the big launch.

Thanks to those who put themselves forward for testing.

Book has now been uploaded to Amazon and should be ready within a week or so, then we should be ready for testing.

Wow! Obviously, post a link when it is available. Looking forward to seeing it.

Will the proceeds be going to charity, or can the contributors expect modest royalties?

Proceeds are going to Macmillan Nurses, Admin has offered his services whereby CUK will ensure the money goes to the charity and all the relevant administration is dealt with by him.

This also means that people can donate more than the cover price, if they so wish, and that gift aid can be used to increase the amounts the charity received.

Cover price has yet to be set, but suggestions on what would be reasonable will be welcomed.

                  Latest update - almost there....

                  Hi Folks,

                  Here's the latest.

We're ready to launch the CUK book but it will not be going out as a kindle version after all. We were about to launch online and set prices etc.. but Admin noticed that amazon take a hefty chunk as royalties, which would mean that the charity would get feck all, so rather than line Amazon's pockets we have decided to set up a just giving page whereby any donations over a certain amount will receive a free CUK Book ( either in pdf or e-reader version).

Admin is just setting up the page and a mailshot will go out soon with the link.

Its a shame we didn't get to publish, but we would rather all the proceeds rather than a paltry amount went to the charity and with gift aid, it will mean they get more.

Thanks again to those who contributed and those who helped with testing.

Can't you do both? That way the Amazon version might catch some extra sales especially if you get CUK people to review it favourably.

                      Have you looked at lulu.com?

That gives multiple format options that you can apply so people can choose to get it in a format that they want.

Justgiving takes a chunk from the donation as well - Virgin do a charity sponsorship site which doesn't, IIRC.
