I knew it was not actually adultery but it just seems a bit of a strong word to use for watching a tv programme ahead of your partner...

also i prefer to talk to the missus, you know intelligent conversations about topical issues stuff like that

Some of us are able to do more than one thing... you know watch TV for a bit then have a conversation. I guess you never go to the cinema, theatre or any music/sports event together because what's the point, you could be sitting in a room having a conversation about Iran instead.

I can multitask - but for me watching tv is a bit like reading a book - I want to concentrate on it and enjoy it - it is a single player game in my view
