Too true, mine is nearly 3 tonnes and the wifes 2.5 and it is only when you are giving it a decent punt along a lane do you realise just how large they are, and how much mass your putting through corners, and stress on the tyres.

      Your wife weighs 2.5 tonnes?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

          Subaru Legacy?

A bit different, 4x4, good residuals.

I think this is why they sell so many SUV/4x4's, including to me. You need bigger space but just can't face an estate or 'people carrier'. You start looking at 4x4's or 2-wheel drive versions.
Mine is slow, thirsty and probably unreliable but I love it. Had very fast cars in the past and mostly you are stuck behind slower stuff, now I'm happy to waft along sat high up in my auto and chill.

The key now as you get older is to choose slower cars with luxurious interiors.

When you are young you want spartan bone shakers to scare the crap out of yourself with.
