Would Jesus use 3.5% offshore tax "avoidance" scheme used by BN66ers?
He had no income to start with. Probably the Christian perspective is that a Christian should be squeaky clean in such things and not use those schemes, but the entire of this thread is about retrospective legislation which is clearly immoral.
Look sas, I've got the Christianity side covered, Gibbon the historical, AtW the moral. There's nothing left for you in this thread since zardoz already claimed the troll position.

Some would say it's immoral to give negative rep to someone you disagree with. Would Jesus do that? I think not, he would have turned the other cheek, but then he didn't have the internet

Although on a bad day his dad would have sent a plague to kill all the first born sons of Egypt, so it's swings and roundabouts.
Exactly. The new law is in so let's not quibble about the morality of it.
Interesting that no one has brought up the subject of wholly incompetent and wasteful governments so far.
I think its perfectly acceptable to legally mitigate your tax bill given that the government is not accountable in any way for wasting tax revenues. For example on departments that arent needed, policies and regulations that are plain daft and the totally incompetent management of national debt.
