Interesting reading but they are not very recent. I would love to see how the figures are changing year on year over the last decade or so..... I am guessing it won't be hard to spot trends....

actually might be interesting how being at a boarding school affects the hereditary social factors on education issues.

maybe it might even prove that its the environment not the genes.

They need to separate race & culture if they are going to solve things like Pakistani or Bangladeshi outcomes.

I don't think the trends will change much - cultures that value education as a means to progressing (Jewish, Chinese, Indian, White middle class) will continue to do so - those that value religious bollux, being macho, claiming the dole or being lazy (Pakistani, Bangladeshi, White working class, Afro-caribbean) will continue to do so.
Obviously generalisations there, socio-economic background being the biggest confounding factor, but in general as far as cultural norms go, roughly correct.

I used to have free school meals - it was years before I found out other people had to pay for them!
