You really don't get it do you BGG ... if Chico heard those words in his head then that wouldn't be God speaking, that would be the Devil masquerading as God. Chico agrees with everything God says, if he doesn't agree it isn't God. If Chico has any questions then God may answer them, if he doesn't then they weren't the right questions. And so it goes on ...
Why would God ask me to do something that goes against his nature? You misunderstand the nature of God - this misunderstanding was rife throughout world history that the only way God could rectify it was to come down to this earth himself. Look at Jesus and his ministry and then you will see what God is. If I heard "a voice" in my head telling me kill kids in the local school - that voice will be the voice of the devil.
1 John 3:8
He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.
Ok, this time there is a puff of white smoke and God appears in front of you. There is no deception, no disguise, it'd not the Devil in drag. It's God. The Big Fella. There is no room for doubt.
He says to you...
"Chico. I would like to ask you to kill the kids in the Class of 2B in the school down the road. I can't explain why, but I would like you to do it. It's part of my Great Plan."
To suppose that, which is against my human nature, is to imply that I have gone mad.
For me to think such a thing as a good idea, would mean that I am not in possession of my normal rational thought, ergo I would be mad.
If I thought it was a good idea, because of the madness, then logically it would follow that I would do the deed. Bereft of my normal rationale, and lacking any volition otherwise, yes of course.
The same can be said for any being acting in such a manner.
All it takes is an aneurism, or a seizure during the night, which rewires the brain, and anybody is capable of all sorts of behaviour against their normal will.
My question to Chico is not based on self-realisement (as was yours), therefore the two questions are mutually exclusive and you are asking me a completely different question, which I have answered above.
Chico's question is a lot more deeper, hence I suspect he has gone to do some research and cut and paste an answer that someone else has prepared for him.
