when did you become a contractor?

    Sorry I really meant:

When did you start building IT systems that put people working in HR and finance out of jobs?

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

So this is it. You're bitter because your cushie permie HR job was taken away by a nasty contractor. Poor Dodgy. Should have joined the union

Suggesting I would ever work in HR is heresy

So taxes prior to 1979 were lower than in say 1989?

That's your cretin theme du jour: "IT puts people out of work".
Your clients must be real low level if they're still doing that stuff, since most firms did that sort of low level automation long ago, nowadays we've moved up the value chain and are applying IT/stats/machine learning to big data, stuff that can't be done by a human being.
Please try not to embarass yourself professionally on these forums, it's not smart.

Well the point is really to be made for the anti-thatcherites who claim she cut stuff to the bone. In reality she didn't. She even allowed benefits to rise with inflation which the current lot aren't doing.

I think the reason the current lot is cutting to the bone is because of the last part of the graph. Blair and Brown spent all the money.
