Why not? Just saying something doesn't make it true. Coincidences do happen.

This statement conclusively proves you are a first class cretin.
Either it's "labours job to run the financial markets effectively" or one frees "the financial markets from the control of the state".

Mind like a steel trap, yours isn't.

      You couldn't make it up.

My 3-year old shows clearer logic. Honestly.

The fact that you made such a ridiculous statement shows one thing: you're so biased you cannot admit that the liberalisation of the financial markets in the 80s directly led to its excesses of recent times.

        .

More half baked clap trap. Many working class people owned their own homes prior to thatcher. In the 1960s over 40% owned their own home. Just before she came to power it was around 50%. By the time she left it was around 60% mainly acheived through selling council houses. The shortsightedness of that scheme has led to the crippling cost of the housing benefit bill.

I'm not sure that's true, more like urban myth.

Tell you what's surprised me here in Ireland, everyone hates her as much as we do in the UK.

I was up bright and early that Sunday and all radio and TV channels were playing "sombre" music.

My local newsagent had empty video shelves by 10 a.m.

Oh, and when it was finally over and normal telly started to come back we got all*the effing episodes of Eastenders that hadn't been aired.
