I agree from top 5 to top 6!

1979 we were the 5th richest nation by GDP, by 1990 we were the 6th

KUABT its a Full ceremonial funeral with military honours but no lying in state as she didn't want it.

Does that matter? So someone else is doing well too, and that's good news. You know what to do about it? Exactly what Alan Sugar would say; get on the blower and sell them some kit.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

If it had not been for Thatcher we would have been far lower down the table living in a communist state controlled by the unions.

                  Without Maggie
we would still be making unreliable cars subsidizing each one.
we would still be digging coal manually with all the ex miners dying from lung disease.
we would be getting aid from India.
houses would still be owned by either pension companies, rich nobs, slum landlords or the council.
New Lie would have imposed the poll tax.
The tories would be even more out of touch.

That's you opinion the fact is we were Top 5 all throughout the 1970s, then the decline started. Can't be coincidence.

I might just agree with your other points but this one is complete crap.
Labour left the financial services to run just as Thatcher had deregulated them with the big bang.
It was labours job to run the financial markets effectively once Thatcher had freed them from the control of the state. if you are arguing that the banking system should have been managed by the state then argue it
