They don't know what a Dalek is. But there are laws to protect them anyway.Hard Brexit now!

Having travelled extensively around Germany the only part that resembles the Midlands is the large conurbation up the A1 between Cologne and Oberhausen. However drive only a few miles to the East and you're in great countryside. The rest of Germany is nothing like the Midlands.the bulk of Germany is a bit too much like the East or West MidlandsI'm alright JackComment

And long may it remain that way. One of the great things about Germany is the lack of English!Originally posted by Hart-flootSorry, Just cant see Germany ever having the same appeal as France, Italy,Spain or even Scandinavia for British people for their 2/3 week summer holiday breaks.
Spent a wonderful couple weeks there at the start of the year in Baden-Baden...what a cool place! So much nicer since there were no loud aggressive poms around!

Personally, I won't holiday anywhere in Europe as it is within the range the great unwashed can afford. A minimum 8 hour flight usually thins them out a bit. If you can get two continents away, even better.Guy Fawkes - "The last man to enter Parliament with honourable intentions."Comment

tulip, does this mean we're going to be invaded by loadsa a twat Brits now? Don't come, as someone who's been here for 18 years I can honestly tell you its awful. The weather is worse than the Midlands, the beer is so weak you're better off drinking Watneys Red Barrel, the women are all frigid with really hairy parts and don't put out unless you're 25 stone with a mullet.Originally posted by sasguru...people will realise that Germany is a brilliant holiday destination ....
Actually the only Brits I've ever really seen on a semi-regular basis are in Frankfurt and tend to be contractors hanging around the Irish and Brit pubs. Boring feckers, nearly hit one once for his loud chav-like comments. The landlord of the pub was going to let me as well but cos he was a big spender I wasn't allowed.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment
