I'm posting this from home and after a few pints but any sane person does not want hordes of Romanians and Bulgarians to come over here bringing their way of life with them. Seriously, it's bad enough as it is. I had to move from London when my daughter who was the only white kid in her year started bringing home books in Punjabi. It's not racism, it's culturalism and race replacement and to be honest I don't like it one bit and for all the pontificating on here, no-one else I speak to who is British likes it either. That is the honest truth....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

There is a fairly detailed report by the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) on the state of migration, in the context of jobs, opportunities, education and training.
It details the rates of change of employment prospects between UK-born and non-UK born nationals.
As well as the kinds of jobs being taken up, etc.
You have to sign up to the CIPD to get the report, all 27 pages of it.
There is also a regional breakdown as well.
Coming from a country where there are no social nets, it is not surprising non-UK nationals are willing to do minimum wage jobs, whereas UK-born nationals may stick their noses up at chances to work.
This impacts their ability to gain experience, develop networks, and upgrade to a better job later.
For all those border-line racist comments, it might be worthwhile considering that ANYONE under the age of 16 is a burden on the state.
Until such time they start working and paying tax, they cost the govt in terms of child allowances, education costs, health costs, housing costs, etc.
By the time a UK-born national reaches age 16, have a guess how much they have cost the govt?Comment

Simply having lived in a poor country with no welfare safety net is no guarantee of a work ethic. Some, like the Chinese or Poles, do seem to have it, their relative poverty is just a consequence of their communist past. Others, given the state of their country, the fact that they greatly lag other nations with similar history and that they have absorbed billions of aid with no real effect clearly do not.
Racism and exclusion is always blamed but the reality is that success or failure or migrants in the West generally reflects the state of the nations they came from. Compare success here of Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis with the relative growth of those nations. Similarly those from more successful Western African countries like Ghana with those from the poorer Eastern ones like Somalia. The least successful groups in the West are black, as are all the world's poorest nations. All coincidence?bloggoth
