Having received a couple of emails from British Gas last week, I just registered a user ID on www.britishgas.co.uk, and tried to pay my gas bill online through this site.
The site is hellishly clunky and slow, and to start with I encountered a full-screen Java error saying something to the effect "POST expected, not GET". I then ran through the payment process again, and this time when I submit my card details, it goes to a blank screen with a URL that ends with "POST", and that's that - Nothing further happens. I've no idea whether or not the payment went through.
What a crock! How is it possible in this day and age, and with such a large company as Centrica, to make such a hash of a simple app like this?!
