Take those people, put them in a situation where for a short time they are useful and earn respect and self-respect, then throw them "back to the same environment they came from and often tried to escape by joining the army" (as Andy McNab put it), where "with few qualifications or skills, a person's employment chances [are] limited once out of the army, where its "tribal system" had looked after them." Is it any wonder it doesn't always work?
I don't blame the ex-squaddies, I blame the Army more, and the Government most of all.Job motivation: how the powerful steal from the stupid.Comment

they are specifically targeted as they are the most likely to sign up. The ones that the education system has failed (sorry I think anyone who has such a low reading age and is not disabled must have been failed).
They were also targeted after discharge by a number of companies because they were considered better than the general public at some jobs (security etc).Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment
