Is making derogatory comments about Bankers any better than making them about Bobs?

Which is part of my point about making sweeping generalisations. When bankers are referred to as crooks and Bobs are referred to as having bad hygiene related habits they are the subject of jokes. It seems fair game to make these comments about bankers but no about "bobs". why? they are after all both groups.

I believe that propagation of "hygiene" jokes about BOBs is missing the point and diverts attention from the real issues with bobbing. Most of them are based in India anyway, but does it make the whole offshoring experience any better?

Thank goodness I hate everyone equally, it takes away the stress of knowing who to despise most at any given point in time.

I work in banking, last year I was working on a large transformation project which had a large number of Bobs & Female Bobs??
We were all put on one floor, the loos were just awful, its not that they have bad personal hygiene habits, its the lack of care of who uses the bathroom after, I suppose in some of the 3rd world countries they lack the thoughtfulness of considering others, maybe in their countries they have lots of cleaners living in the bathroom cleaning after each person. But at that site the cleaners did the cleaning only twice a day (which I think is fair) so you can imagine the bathrooms (am talking female loos) were in such an awful state starting from 11 am onwards... one day me and another lady on the project (Australian) got so fed up with it, we printed notices saying (There Toilet Brushes Provided, Use Them !!!) And others saying please be considerate etc etc we stuck them everywhere in the bathrooms.. it worked, the bathrooms were decent for another couple of months when the bad habits to come back or new Bobs arrived...

My point is against the poster who claimed that the jokes and comments about bobs and aussies smelling were tantamount to racism. I am arguing that "bobs" and "aussies" are groups defined by their nationalities. bankers,catholics and chelsea supporters are defined in groups also and that such groups should be fair game for light hearted humour and sweeping tongue in cheek generalisations such as those thrown about on CUK.

now when I think about it, 90% of onshore bobs are male. If we experience problems in the lady's I cannot even imagine how bad gents must be.

Btw. stating well evidenced fact is not the same as making derogatory comment just for the cheap laugh or to exasperate the target.
