If they did put their EBT payments on a different contract which was not disclosed to the football association then I think they should. I don't think the SFA paid 400k on legal fees and got a law lord in to head up the committee if it was not a seriously considered option.
The punishment is down to the league though and Rangers have been shooting from the hip every few days with "we did nothing wrong, we are going to get you back" statements. I think some on that panel will be seeking blood from them.
Who knows, they probably get off with it.Comment
