Fair point, have editted the 'you' to 'their'. It might not be the case that they are agressively exluding certain victim groups but by publicly highlighting their group they are putting others in the shade and helping continue the stereotype that men do not suffer from domestic violence imho.

I fail to see why they cannot simply support victims of violence, regardless of their gender.

Fair point too, but you have to remember that in some parts of the world there seems to be an old cultural idea that violence against women is somehow more acceptable than other forms of violence, so I can understand highlighting that, but not at the exclusion of other victims of violence.

        Agreed.

I just can't support anything that seems to focus on women only.

My other half was beaten up by his ex-wife in the street (in front of the kids). She tried to strangle him and repeatedly hit him in the face. Didn't cause much physical damage of course because a 5ft5in emaciated woman just won't cause too much harm to a 6ft muscular guy with just her bare hands, but it's pretty obvious that she was trying to get him to fight back so that she could later play the victim. He didn't though, so that plan didn't pan out too well for her.

Anyway, the police told him that if he pressed charges that would "break her" and effectively bullied him into leaving it as an ARD/formal caution. Doubt a woman in his position would get treated that way. When in court over child residence the judge told him to get over it and that he should have never taken the matter to the police - despite her causing similar scenes since.
