Am I willing to relocate? Sure why not.
It's 3 days in Oxford, and 2 in Preston. Sure, why not.
It's £325 a day.

On your bike pal. Any company that wants a PM for that kind of money is not one I want to set foot in.
Before you know it you're writing code as well and writing test cases.
I pity the poor chump that is desperate enough to chase round the country, put up mileage and hotels and be worked into the ground for that money.
So, what are the classic lines from a pimp that have you running for the exit?
"High pressure, fast paced environment"
"Work hard but play hard"
"Unrivalled growth recently"
What phrases turn you off immediately from a gig?
"Up to £16 per hour"Comment

Real contractors take rates that tie them over while looking for the next big gig.

If I wanted a break as a PM I'd take the gig, do six months, embellish the CV a bit and hey presto...Originally posted by Kryten View PostHad a call from a pimp today. Wanted a .Net project manager.

Also if I didn't have anything else on and had a wife, kids and a mortgage I'd take it until I could jump ship. At £325 per day I'd at least be breaking even rather than spunking the war chest.
Between decent banking gigs in rubbish markets (when I had small kids and a mortgage), I've written software for all kinds of people just to keep busy really - £30 per hour or some such. Pays the bills and stops me from dipping into my savings....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

I'd rather be earning coin & continually adding to my warchest than sitting on my arse & watching it go down. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment
