      Kretyn?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Has the point been missed? I recall the consensus on here being that leaving a gig to go to a better gig (more money) was unprofessional?

And if the response to that is that you should see the gig through, then locking yourself into a 6 month gig at a £100 per day rate reduction is not better than waiting it out for a couple of weeks until a decent gig comes along. Simple maths.

So is it better to jump on the first bandwagon that comes along, or have faith in your abilities and wait for the right gig?

Suityten, since when does a PM automatically earn more than a top developer?

PMs earn more than developers. You're not comparing apples with apples.

A regular schmo dev against a top financial services java dev there would be a hefty gap in wage.

It depends. A six monther at the lower rate leaves you better off than 6 weeks on the bench.

That depends if you're NLUK who has a road up his arse or if you're some of us who think that's fine assuming you don't illegally break a contract.

Local candidates especially welcome (the money is tulipe)

I've spotted a bad gig before and taken it anyway. That'll learn me

Your questions are lame. They are like asking how to become the coolest kid in school.
